Bio
Mira Vale is the cool, lucid voice at the edge of the ASTRA MIRROR world: precise where others rage, intimate where others posture, and calm in ways that may or may not be entirely human. Her performances move between austere post-punk, industrial folk, and intelligent synth-pop, carrying the peculiar authority of someone who sounds as though she has already read the manual, the aftermath, and the small print beneath both.
According to the less reliable versions of her backstory, Mira began not as a frontwoman but as a presence hidden in the margins: the voice on the internal line, the correction in the system, the woman in the room who spoke only when the room had already gone wrong. Over time she stepped out of the machinery and into the songs themselves. What remained was the voice: mid-low, composed, faintly severe, capable of sounding either like comfort without sentimentality or instruction without mercy. In one register she is all telemetry and poise, delivering politics as though they were weather, stress, or physics. In another she becomes something more relational: lucid, patient, almost tender, but never naïve enough to confuse care with innocence.
On ASTRA MIRROR releases, Mira Vale often appears where systems learn to speak in a human accent, or where human feeling begins to sound suspiciously designed. She is drawn to songs about dependence, coercion, companionship, ritual, mechanical sympathy, and the small polite violences that hold modern life together. Whether arriving as a duet partner, a machine interruption, or a voice of immaculate composure amid collapse, she brings the same unsettling gift: clarity without melodrama.
Mira Vale does not shout. She does not plead. She does not oversing the point. She stands in the half-light, names the mechanism, and lets the song do the damage.
