Summary
Interpretations is a compact perspective-release built around a single crucial distinction: the same movement can be experienced from within as morally justified, urgent, and necessary action, while appearing from outside as coherent, organised, and systemically coordinated behaviour. That makes the release far more than a loose pair of songs. It is a demonstration of how ideological coherence changes appearance depending on position in relation to the movement itself. In the larger canon it now sits clearly inside the X-side coherence of the A/W/X/Y/Z mechanism: the dream, once socially active, generates both inward righteousness and outward pattern.
History
Interpretations was originally released as its own two-track unit before both tracks were later absorbed into The Wound, The Dream, The Cost. That later absorption did not make the earlier release meaningless; it clarified its role. As a standalone release, Interpretations isolates the perspectival mechanism that the later EP embeds inside a broader arc of wound, dream, and cost. Its function is therefore narrower but still important: it shows how action under the dream looks different from the inside and the outside without forcing either reading to be fake.
Meaning
The release is about perspectival legibility under ideological coherence. It shows that a movement shaped by the compulsory dream can generate conduct that feels morally luminous to participants and structurally unnerving to observers. Interpretations matters because it refuses the cheap move of flattening one side into pure virtue and the other into pure paranoia. The same coherence is real in both registers; what changes is the interpretive position from which it is seen.
